Physical Therapy and Work Hardening For workers with certain types of injuries or chronic disorders, access to appropriate physical therapy and rehabilitation can be the difference between a speedy transition back to work or months -- even years -- of unproductive convalescence. Recovery time can further be reduced by participation in a job-specific physical therapy regimen, professionally designed to reinforce physical skills associated with particular job responsibilities.
As part of our continuum of care, BaptistWorx offers an industrial rehabilitation and physical therapy clinic where injured workers can come to reacquire the proficiency, strength, flexibility and dexterity needed to ply their trades. Treatment focuses on education, rehabilitation, management of symptoms and future prevention. Customized physical therapy programs can include:
- Post-injury rehabilitation
- Educational programs
- Work hardening programs
- User-friendly workplace design
- Physical demand screens, a job-specific screening to determine an employee's physical ability to perform a job
- Fit-for-duty screens
- Functional capacity evaluations
- Injury prevention education
- Post-offer screenings*, which can include a back assessment or a general evaluation of the individual's musculoskeletal status.
*Legally, a post-offer screening cannot be used to terminate employment.
Employee Assistance Programs Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) are available for maintaining a healthy overall work environment. Each one of these programs is confidential. BaptistWorx will provide a direct referral into a network of employee assistance professionals.
