BaptistWorx® provides comprehensive occupational health services to employers in and around the Paducah area through two convenient locations.

Services

Care for Work-Related Injuries
The expense of treating work-related injuries places a significant financial burden on companies of every size. Many Paducah area employers are turning to BaptistWorx to minimize the expense of treating workplace injuries, decrease employee time lost from work and reduce medical claims. Our care for work-related injuries includes:

• Treatment of Work-Related Injuries
  Many work-related injuries need only minor care, and the employee is able to return to work immediately. BaptistWorx offers care for minor injuries through our Prime Care Center, located in West Park Village in Paducah. Prime Care is staffed by experienced emergency medicine and family practice physicians, and provides an on-site laboratory and EKG tests. Prime Care also offers X-ray services to help quickly and accurately diagnose minor medical problems. Treatment of work-related injuries is also available in the Fast Track Center at Western Baptist Hospital. After hours coverage, as well as care for more serious injuries, is provided by Western Baptist Hospital.
  
• Dedicated Case Coordinator
  Our case coordinator serves as a liaison among the company, employee, physician and claims payer. When an employee of a BaptistWorx client is identified, the coordinator is available to get the paperwork rolling and let the employer know the status of the injured employee's condition and work restrictions. As an employer, you will receive a medical report on the progress of each of your injured employees.
  
• Rehabilitation
  Physical therapy, occupational therapy and work conditioning services with certified specialists in ergonomics, back, neck, and hand injuries are provided through the Baptist Rehabilitation Center, located at 115 Kiana Court in Paducah. The center is open 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, call (270) 534-1200.

Medical Case Management
Good case management helps companies decrease lost work time. Our occupational health coordinator assists in all areas of case management, including follow-up on your employee/patient. Case management includes:

• Frequent communication with employee/patient, employer, treating physicians, referral sources and claims payers
• Assistance with workers' compensation claims
• Early intervention case management
• Expediting the employee's appropriate return-to-work

Health/Safety Education Programs
Working in conjunction with Western Baptist Hospital, BaptistWorx can provide health and safety education, wellness and fitness consultations, and on-site programming, including:

• Regulatory compliance seminars, such as First Aid and Bloodbourne Pathogens and Adult CPR Classes
• Back school
• Ergonomics
• Additional education, depending on your employees' needs

Medical Surveillance Programs
BaptistWorx offers medical surveillance and screening programs to help your company keep the work site safe and healthy for employees. We can also provide other types of testing programs designed to meet your company's special requirements. Your program can include, but is not limited to:

• Urine drug screening
• Blood alcohol testing
• Pulmonary function testing
• X-ray
• Assistance with OSHA compliance and company-specific testing

Physical Evaluation Program
When tailored to specifically meet the needs of each BaptistWorx employer/client, physical evaluation programs can save your company money. Such programs can include:

• Return-to-work physicals

• Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals
• Preplacement evaluations
• Rehabilitation services

Immunization Program
BaptistWorx can provide convenient, high quality immunization services for your employees, depending on your needs. Immunizations available include:

• Flu shots
• Hepatitis B vaccination
• TB skin test
• Tetanus shots
• Other immunizations, depending on your needs

Pulmonary Screening Services
Through the Respiratory Care department of Western Baptist Hospital, BaptistWorx offers the business community cost-effective pulmonary screening services, including pre-employment, annual physicals and pulmonary fit testing. All tests are interpreted by a board certified pulmonologist and results are provided to the employer, as well as maintained in the Respiratory Care department of the hospital. Pulmonary screenings may be scheduled independently through the Respiratory Care department at (270) 575-2172 or through BaptistWorx at (270) 575-2777. On-site testing is available for employee groups of 12 or more at competitive rates.
