WorkWellSM provides comprehensive occupational health services to employers in the Elizabethtown, Kentucky, area.
Services
Occupational health is the science of anticipating, preventing and treating injuries that occur in the workplace. Workplace injuries can take many forms, from accidents requiring immediate medical attention to chronic disorders that slowly diminish productivity and quality of life. Work Injuries
At WorkWell, we provide comprehensive, quality care to injured workers in an effort to return them to the workplace. Lost work time resulting from injury can create financial hardships for both employers and employees. That's why WorkWell also furnishes 24-hour injury care with prompt follow-up, individual attention and immediate communication.
For minor injuries and health screenings during the day, employees from participating companies can go to our free-standing clinic at 1111 Ring Road. Open Monday through Fridays 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. the WorkWell clinic is staffed by a physician and other healthcare professionals experienced in treating occupational injuries. Facilities and equipment include ten examination rooms with areas for:
- Trauma and eye injuries
- X-ray
- Vision screening
- Spirometry
- Electrocardiography
- Evidentiary breath testing
- Audiometry
After hours coverage is provided by the Emergency Department at Hardin Memorial Hospital or CareFirst Urgent Care Centers with two locations. After emergency treatment, WorkWell will follow the treatment of the employee to ensure fast intervention and follow-up.
Medical Surveillance Program
WorkWell is committed to helping your company provide a safe and healthy environment for all employees. Our WorkWell consultants can tailor a program to meet your company's current and future needs. Your program can include:
- Drug screening (DOT and non-DOT)
- Breath alcohol testing
- Audiometric screening
- Pulmonary function testing
- Vision screening
- X-ray
- EKG
- OSHA-mandated screenings
- Other company-specific testing
- Industrial rehabilitation
Physical Evaluation Program
A good, healthy work force starts by fitting the employee to the right job. A physical examination can help the employer provide a safe and healthy environment for employees. Some types of physicals are:
- Preplacement
- DOT
- Executive
Immunization Program
Healthy employees can begin with a simple immunization. Immunizations can be offered to meet regulations or your company's needs and may include:
- Flu shots
- Hepatitis B vaccinations
- TB skin tests
- Tetanus shots
Education and Wellness Programs
WorkWell is excited to offer a program that includes education and wellness in the workplace. Our philosophy is that a healthy employee makes for a more productive employee. Physical Therapy and Work Hardening
Physical therapy for work-related injuries available through the Therapy and Sports Medicine Center. Outpatient physical therapy services for work-related injuries are offered Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (270) 706-5100.
